Projects Accomplished
- Creation of the Cuchuma Library, featuring information on the history and culture of Baja California, located in Tecate, B.C., Mexico.
- Establishment of the “Miguel Mathes” public auditorium for the purpose of holding educational programs, workshops, meetings and other activities that benefit the Tecate community.
- Restoration of Misión Señora de Guadalupe (1834) and the building of an interpretative center with information pertaining to the Missions of Baja California.
- Restoration of “Campo Alaska,” the former military headquarters and Baja California state government summer headquarters in La Rumorosa, B.C., Mexico, and establishment of a Museum depicting the history of the area.
- Support and assistance for the Playas de Rosarito Community Museum designed to educate the public about the early days of the State of Baja California and in particular the Rosarito area.
Continuing and Projects in Planning
- Oral History Program: “Tecate through the voices of its residents” – interviews with pioneers and residents of Tecate, Baja California, to be curated as part of the archives of the Cuchuma Library.
- Development of 3 phases of the Tecate Community Museum - Kumiai Museum, Ranch Period and Contemporary Period of Tecate, Baja California, Mexico.
- Construction and operation of Phase One: the Kumiai Museum.
- Development of a complete cultural and educational center in Campo Alaska in La Rumorosa, Baja California.
- Donation of books to the Cuchuma Library.
- Book presentations: books related to Baja California presented by their authors.
- Annual tours of historical sites of B. C.
- - 5 day Tour of Mission Sites of Baja California
- - 5 day Tour of Historical Sites in Baja California

- Production of booklets and DVDs on the history of Baja California to be used by teachers and various school districts.
- Educational programs for schools, teachers and children about the Baja California’s cultural heritage in order to build pride and a sense of identity in our local communities.
- Numerous educational seminars and workshops on the culture and history of Baja California featuring Baja California historians, authors and indigenous cultural authorities.
- Donation of books and materials about the history of Baja California to the schools of Baja California.
- Restoration programs for the mission sites in Baja California.
- Collaboration with the International Community Foundation through the fund: Historical Site Preservation Fund for Baja California.
